Dignity, Wellness, and Respect

K-W Seniors Day Program is a community based, not for profit organization dedicated to helping seniors maintain individual health and wellness, a higher quality of life, and self esteem through a variety of group programs.  Participants are chauffeured from their residences to our facility to enjoy various activities including arts and crafts, games, music, nutritional meals, and special events.

Our mission is to promote wellness and dignity to seniors with physical, cognitive and mental health challenges through the provision of activities, socialization, nutrition and quality care.

There is an easy way to help to raise dollars for our program and it won’t even cost you a penny. There is a website which donates on your behalf every time you search the internet or shop online. It is called igive.com and isearchigive.com.
It is a free, easy way to raise money for the K-W Seniors Day Program just by searching the web or shopping online.
iSearchiGive.com is a search engine powered by iGive.com, the internet's first online shopping mall where a portion of each purchase is donated to your favorite cause.
See it for yourself at: iSearchiGive.com
Here's what makes iSearchiGive.com so useful:

  • It's free, fast, and easy-to-use
  • The donation is $0.01 per qualified search (no hidden fees, no limits)
  • Donation checks are sent every month
  • You can keep track of your individual contributions

If you shop online, up to 26% of each purchase via iGive.com also benefits this cause. There is a long list of merchants who work with through this website like flower shops, bookstores, Staples business depot, Avon, Canadian Tire to pretty much anything you can think of! Each merchant donates a different percent of your overall purchase to our program, when you sign up our program as your charitable organization.
Please give it a try! The numbers may seem small at first, but if we all search the web or do some shopping online, our combined efforts can add up to real funds for a great cause. And since it's powered by iGive.com (a site that has been helping causes raise money online since 1997), we know it's not just a flash in the pan!

Our sincere thanks and recognition to Jack McGee and Norma Wylie for volunteering 5 years to our program!  We truly appreciate all the time that you have given us and the joy that you bring each day helping with our program activities and bringing smiles to our clients' faces!  You are amazing!

Lillian Rudrum Memorial Award

This is a special award which is dedicated to our longest serving program volunteer who devoted nearly 3 decades of her life to our program:  Lillian Rudrum.  The recipient of this award is nominated by the clients, staff and volunteers.

We were very happy to present our long time volunteer, Wanda Duke, with this year’s annual Lillian Rudrum Memorial Award.  Congratulations Wanda!  Thank you for your years of service to our program and for truly making a difference in the lives of our clients!

A special thank you also to all of the amazing volunteers who dedicate their time to our program.  We could not do it without you!  Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart!
